TableChat Launches All-in-One Restaurant Platform Connecting Food Discovery, Direct Ordering and Customer Retention
New AI-powered platform connects dish-first discovery with restaurant-branded commerce, loyalty and marketing—while offering a marketplace without TableChat commissions, service fees or menu markups.
GERMANTOWN, Md. — October 8, 2026 — TableChat today announced the launch of its integrated restaurant discovery and growth platform, designed to help independent restaurants attract new customers, convert food discovery into direct orders and build lasting customer relationships.
The platform connects three traditionally separate parts of the restaurant customer journey: how diners discover what they want to eat, how restaurants convert that discovery into orders and reservations, and how restaurants encourage customers to return.
TableChat combines an AI-powered consumer discovery experience with restaurant-branded websites, direct ordering, reservations, loyalty, verified reviews, automated marketing and customer management tools.
Unlike transaction-driven restaurant marketplaces, TableChat does not charge restaurants a commission on marketplace orders or impose TableChat service fees or menu markups on diners. Instead, participating restaurants pay a flat $299 per location per month for access to the core restaurant technology platform.
“Restaurant discovery and restaurant software have traditionally operated as separate experiences,” said Lord Uva, Founder and CEO of TableChat. “We built TableChat to connect them. We want to help diners discover food they actually want to eat, then give restaurants the technology to turn that discovery into a direct, lasting customer relationship.”
Connecting Discovery to Restaurant-Owned Commerce
TableChat is built around a straightforward approach:
Get Discovered → Convert Direct → Bring Them Back.
The discovery layer helps diners find relevant restaurants and individual dishes. The commerce layer connects diners to restaurant-branded ordering and reservation experiences. The retention layer gives restaurants tools to build ongoing relationships through loyalty, reviews, marketing and personalized engagement.
Rather than treating marketplace discovery as an isolated transaction, TableChat connects discovery with the restaurant's own digital presence.
“The marketplace is the acquisition layer. The restaurant software is the business model,” Uva said. “Our goal is not to keep every future transaction inside a marketplace. It's to help restaurants turn newly discovered diners into repeat customers.”
A Different Approach to Food Discovery
Traditional restaurant discovery often begins with choosing a restaurant and then browsing its menu.
TableChat also allows diners to begin with the food they want.
A diner can search for a specific dish, describe a craving or ask conversational questions such as “Where can I find great jollof rice near me?” or “Show me spicy chicken dishes I haven't tried before.”
TableChat connects that intent to relevant dishes and restaurants through dish-level search, natural-language discovery and personalized recommendations.
At the center of its personalization capabilities is the TableChat Taste Graph, a built and functional system that uses diner preferences and interaction signals to make future discovery increasingly relevant.
These signals can include searches, discovery interactions, orders, ratings, verified reviews and repeat behavior.
“Search understands what you ask for. The Taste Graph helps TableChat understand you,” Uva said.
The TableChat consumer marketplace is one discovery surface. The company is also developing infrastructure intended to make participating restaurants and dishes discoverable through additional search, maps and AI experiences. Those integrations are under development and do not represent announced commercial partnerships.
A Marketplace Designed to Reduce Transaction Costs
TableChat's consumer marketplace introduces a different approach to restaurant marketplace economics.
The platform charges:
No TableChat marketplace commissions on restaurant orders.
No TableChat service or platform fees to diners.
No TableChat menu markups.
Diners can discover dishes and restaurants without TableChat adding those charges to the restaurant's menu prices. Applicable third-party payment-processing and delivery costs remain separate.
The marketplace is designed to generate discovery and customer acquisition opportunities for participating restaurants, while TableChat earns revenue through its recurring restaurant software subscription.
This separates the company's subscription business model from the volume of marketplace commissions collected on individual orders.
Branded Technology to Convert and Retain Customers
Once a diner discovers a restaurant, TableChat connects that discovery to the restaurant's branded digital experience.
The restaurant platform includes:
SEO-optimized, restaurant-branded websites.
Direct online ordering and reservations.
Conversational AI ordering.
Loyalty and rewards.
Verified reviews and reputation management.
Automated marketing campaigns and social media content.
Customer management and analytics.
POS integrations.
Integrated delivery.
These capabilities are included in TableChat's core platform without feature gating.
The company charges $299 per restaurant location per month, positioning the platform as a unified solution for customer acquisition, direct commerce and retention.
“Independent restaurants shouldn't have to choose between getting discovered and building direct relationships with their customers,” Uva said. “We want those capabilities working together.”
Built, Deployed and Validated in Real Restaurants
TableChat enters its public launch with its core consumer marketplace, restaurant technology platform and Taste Graph built and operational.
TableChat piloted its platform with a few select independent restaurants in the DMV region. All participating restaurants converted to paying customers after the pilot.
The pilots were designed to validate operational readiness in live restaurant environments, including onboarding, branded commerce, ordering and restaurant workflows.
The company is now moving from early restaurant validation toward developing repeatable restaurant acquisition and customer success processes.
From Local Discovery to National Restaurant Growth
TableChat can onboard participating restaurants across the United States, while its initial consumer marketplace density efforts are focused on the Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia region.
Its approach combines national restaurant software distribution with market-by-market consumer discovery growth.
Over time, the company also intends to connect online and in-store restaurant experiences through TableChat-powered tablets, allowing diners to interact with the same restaurant relationship and personalization system across both environments. These tablet capabilities are part of the future roadmap and are not included in the current launch.
“The customer shouldn't become a stranger simply because they walked through the restaurant's front door,” Uva said. “Our longer-term vision is one connected diner journey, online and in-store.”
